bb question challenge
why did you make the blog in the first place?
i try to journal and keep up with it. it's good for me to be able to write things as i think and feel them, so i can really think about reacting to those emotions first. also a good way to have a reference for therapy. anyway, it's difficult for me to stick to something (or anything, really) if it's not for someone else. so, here, i can pretend i have onlookers which motivates me to post relatively consistently.
why did you choose bearblog?
it's neat and simple. not a lot of flashy features and options to distract me or make me feel overwhelmed. like using a web-based text editor.
have you blogged on other platforms before?
i have, especially when i was young. i used to use xanga, tumblr, and even wordpress for a while. i've been drawn to writing on online platforms since i was a preteen, but was always concerned with curating my content for a particular audience. that, and the death/evolution of those sites eventually saw to me abandoning those projects and platforms.
do you write your posts directly in the editor or in another software?
i write in textedit most times. it's easier for me because i can access it offline.
when do you feel most inspired to write?
when i am sad, unfortunately. i wouldn't call it inspiration, more like desperation to be heard. but, i also like to document the decent times. my writing does feel more flat in those moments, however.
do you publish immediately after writing or do you let it simmer a bit as a draft?
it depends on the state of mind and the subject i'm writing about. generally, though, i post almost immediately after writing. keeps me more honest, i feel.
your favorite post on your blog?
my last one, probably. it's the "happiest", so far.
any future plans for your blog? Maybe a redesign, changing the tag system, etc.?
i don't think so. i hardly think this blog will ever be anything more than an online journal for my personal benefit, and everything as it is suits me just fine. maybe that will change one day, though.
